Landmark Acquisition: Continuum at North Conway LLC Secures 126 Acres for Ridgeline Community Development
North Conway, NH – Continuum at North Conway LLC is thrilled to announce the successful acquisition of 126 acres from the Kennett Company, marking a pivotal milestone in advancing the development of Ridgeline Community.
Ridgeline Community, poised to become North Conway’s premier mixed-use destination, will feature 55+ cottages, First Step housing, ski condos, commercial leasing, medical office buildings, and cutting-edge memory care and assisted living facilities. The project is progressing, pending final approvals from the Conway Town Planning Board.
Joe Hogan, Member/Manager of Continuum at North Conway LLC, shares his excitement, stating, “Securing the land and DOT permit were critical steps in our journey to establish Ridgeline Community. With the deal closed, we are moving forward, actively working towards final approval for our subdivision plan.”
The anticipated groundbreaking is set for December 1, 2023, as per AJ Coleman’s & Sons, the project contractor. Phase 1 includes the construction of 17 units of First Step housing on Lot 2, aligning with the timeframe for the $3 million affordable housing grant received under the state’s InvestNH program.
Valley real estate veteran Bayard Kennett has joined Ridgeline’s real estate agency of record, Coldwell Banker Lifestyles, offering valuable insights into the commercial sales aspect of the project. Kennett expresses enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its benefits to the Valley and individuals seeking retirement, medical facilities, residential housing, and senior housing.
Continuum is actively preparing Lot 1 for commercial use, having entered into a purchase and sales agreement with Norway Savings Bank for an 8-acre commercial lot. Additionally, plans include an eco-friendly biomass plant behind Lot 7, backed by $1.4 million in grants, ensuring the development’s sustainability.
Lot 7 will be home to memory care and assisted living facilities operated through the Continuum Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Trustees include local healthcare professionals like Sandy Ruka, RN, Executive Director of Visiting Nurse Home Care and Hospice, and Sue Ruka, RN, PhD, of Memorial Hospital.
Hogan reaffirms Continuum’s commitment to seeing Ridgeline Community through to completion, dedicated to creating a thriving and vibrant community that will benefit the region for years to come.
