Advanced Communication Techniques:
We understand that effective communication goes beyond the words we use. For seniors experiencing memory loss, how we convey information is of utmost importance. Our staff undergoes comprehensive and specialized training in communication techniques that are meaningful and impactful for both residents and caregivers. We prioritize creating a supportive environment where residents feel understood and valued.
The Rhythm of the Day:
Consistency plays a vital role in the well-being of our residents. Each day at Forestview Manor begins with slow and comforting waking routines, followed by a nutritious breakfast to fuel the day ahead. We incorporate gentle warm-up activities to boost residents’ confidence and engagement. After lunch, residents participate in personalized mental and physical activities tailored to their unique preferences. In our Maplewood building, the exclusive Kitchen Memories® program often takes place, resulting in a delightful afternoon treat. As the day winds down, a light dinner accompanied by soothing instrumental music sets the stage for a peaceful evening. Residents may also enjoy comforting movies before preparing for a restful night’s sleep.
Advanced Wellness Care:
At Forestview Manor, we take immense pride in our comprehensive and customized staff training for registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and nurses’ aides. Every member of our leadership team is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care. As a 24-hour state-licensed assisted living community, we have a medical staff that includes a Medical Director, a Geropsychiatrist, and three licensed nurses available onsite seven days a week. Our warm, caring, and professional staff brings years of collective assisted living experience to Forestview Manor. We also collaborate with community experts and specialists in various healthcare fields to provide exceptional and holistic care, including hospice care if needed.
Research-Based Dining Program: We recognize the
importance of a balanced and nutritious diet in maintaining overall health, especially for individuals with memory loss. At Forestview Manor, our compassionate dining program is an integral part of AspireCare. We create a comfortable dining room atmosphere that stimulates appetite and ensures that residents with limited dining abilities have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Our food is lovingly prepared by our chefs, with an emphasis on homemade meals using fresh, locally sourced ingredients from the beautiful state of New Hampshire. We prioritize a well-rounded mix of vegetables, whole grains, and proteins to maximize both the taste and nutritional value of each meal. While we keep sugar and fat to a minimum, we never compromise on the deliciousness of our dishes.
