Wentworth Home is located in Dover, NH, next to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. We provide assisted retirement living and offer three levels of care that are specifically tailored to individual needs with the ability to transition from Independent, Assisted, and Added Care Services.

Wentworth Home is unique. We combine the inviting surroundings of our renovated Victorian building with personal household assistance, and the safety and security of 24-hour caregivers and nursing staff. We don’t simply care for the residents of our home, we care about them. As a non-profit organization, overseen by a board of caring, local citizens, our most important mission is providing exceptional care for an affordable price.

Nursing and Medical Assistance

Wentworth Home provides medication administration and 24 hour nursing care. Plus, third party providers such as physical therapists, occupational therapists or podiatrists are welcomed on-site to provide those outside professional services. Many family members and residents find comfort knowing that Wentworth – Douglass Hospital is located just across the street. The Dining Room is one of Wentworth Home’s most inviting rooms. Meals are enjoyed in family -style setting at small, friendly, tables.

We believe in home cooking that is both nutritionally sound and great tasting. The Wentworth Home’s meals are prepared daily using the freshest meats and produce available. Meals are complimented by a daily selection of fresh fruits and breads. After all, “luxury is a good meal cooked by someone else.”

Common spaces are warm and cozy, adding to the Wentworth Home’s unique character. These areas are available for reading, relaxing, meeting with visitors, or simply engaging in friendly conversation.

Our resident rooms are comfortable and cheerful, each with its own private half-bath. Rooms are large, bright, and airy with interesting architectural details.
