In Her Own Words Writing takes a special talent, especially when writing for others. It has to be honest, understandable, and yes, entertaining. A book recently published by a Highlands resident is that and more. “Living MOSTLY in Maine in the 20th Century, a Personal History” by Barbara Savage Thompson, is, quite simply, a great read.
“It took me about a year to do this,” she says. “I took a course in autobiographical writing through Senior College . The process of writing it was the best part. It’s actually not that difficult to remember, once you focus on a particular time.”
