Lake Walk-In-Water (Weohyakapka) is one of the best-kept fishing secrets in central Florida. This shallow lake (only 12 feet in depth at its maximum), the largest in Polk County, is known by residents and serious anglers as the home of trophy-size bass, as well as other fish such as schools of speckled perch. The fishing is so good because the water quality is rated "excellent" by the Water Resources Department, and also because the quiet, out-of-the-way lake is rarely used by waterskiers.
