Community Description

At Turtle & Crane our residents enjoy a comfortable, home-like environment where they are surrounded by a loving and trained staff to see to their every need. Our small homes coupled with a high staff-to-resident ratio, provide a unique opportunity for our residents to receive personalized care. By focusing on the individual care of each resident, we respond to needs quickly and in a way that separates us from other facilities in the area.

Lily & Syringa Memory Care

Lily & Syringa is owned by the same local family that owns Turtle & Crane. Lily & Syringa is located on first street in a quiet residential neighborhood. It operates on the same basic principle of providing a comfortable living experience, with an added focus on providing special needs for those suffering from dementia.

While there are many causes of dementia – a condition that gradually destroys brain cells and leads to a progressive decline in mental functioning – Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause. It is a progressive brain disorder that gradually destroys a person’s memory and ability to learn, reason, make judgments, communicate judgments, and carry out daily activities. As the disease progresses, individuals may also experience changes in personality and behavior, such as anxiety, suspiciousness, agitation, delusion or hallucinations.

The progressive stages of dementia can be difficult for the resident and especially hard on family members. At Lily and Syringa, we pride ourselves having a staff that is carefully trained to deal with memory-impaired residents. We do everything possible to ensure that our residents are cared for with dignity and respect while they are with us in our home. In addition to an excellent trained staff, we use a full range of Home Health and Hospice support services.

If your loved one is in need of the care we can provide at Lily & Syringa, please contact us or stop by anytime. We would love to show you our home.
