Located in the heart of western Montana?s spectacular natural scenery, Missoula is also one of America?s most sophisticated small cities. Rich in history and with a strong, cultural heritage, Missoula is home to several museums, a ballet company, live theatre companies, and a symphony orchestra. The University of Montana was founded here in 1893, less than 90 years after Lewis and Clark explored the area. Yet, since Missoula is surrounded by millions of acres of National Forest, wilderness, and recreation areas, it?s not unusual to find deer visiting your front yard in the early morning.

Missoula is located at the confluence of five rivers, providing some of the world?s best fly fishing and moderating the ?Garden City?s? weather. July averages a pleasant 85 ? F while February averages 28 ? F.
