Community Description

The Morrison's assisted living is a middle ground between independent living and nursing home care. Our home follows a philosophy of personalized care that allows a resident as much autonomy as he/she wants or needs. Our assisted living attracts people who require help in activities of daily living but do not need the skilled medical care provided in a nursing home. Staff encourages the involvement of residents and their families, neighbors, and friends in planning programs and creating a supportive environment. The advantage of assisted living for elders is that they can receive substantial care in a more residential (and less restrictive) environment than a nursing home or long-term care facility.

Although services vary depending on the needs of residents, typically our residents enjoy their own room, three meals and three snacks per day, assistance with personal care, laundry service, and assistance taking medications. Other features include, assistance with coordinating transportation, group outings, and in-house activities.

Assisted living staff are well trained and experienced in providing quality, individualized care in a warm, homelike atmosphere. This care is provided around the clock.
