A Not-For-Profit Tradition of Caring Since 1899
The Cambridge Homes has a rich tradition of service
to the Cambridge community. The not-for-profit organization was established by a group of Cambridge citizens (including Alice Longfellow, the poet's daughter) over 100 years ago. The Cambridge Homes' charitable mission continues to be carried out today by an active nine-member Board of Directors and 50 Incorporators, all from the Cambridge community.
Volunteers from the Cambridge area serve on the Friends' Committee sponsoring a variety of in-house programs and acting as medical escorts for residents, driving them to and providing companionship during physician visits.
Serving the Community
The Cambridge Homes serves seniors throughout the City of Cambridge, as well as the neighboring towns of Belmont, Arlington and Watertown.
