Established in 1988, as part of Our Lady of the Lake's Elderly Services, St. Francis House Adult Day Healthcare is a structured program that improves participants' quality of life by promoting the highest level of functioning. For many families, St. Francis House serves as an alternative to nursing home care.
St. Francis House is a Medicaid provider for eligible participants. The facility is licensed by the Department of Health and Hospitals to care for individuals aged 18 and over.
The pace at St. Francis House is relaxed and comforting to the primarily older clientele, but celebrations and visits by volunteers bring excitement to the center's spacious, attractive rooms. The staff consists of director, program supervisor, LPN, social worker, administrative assistant, food service specialist and adult day care specialists.
