Social Security Answer:
Hi Carol,
The Form I was given is SSA-632-BK. It is very tricky. Part of it tries to get information on me (the adult) when it really is all about my grandson's money I have saved for him. His mother (who is now in jail for making meth) was drawing mother's benefit check for taking care of him and all the time he was living with me. This is the second time she has done this. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
THANK YOU,
E. GOTTMAN

Dear Elizabeth:
The first part is pretty simple...just state that it was because of your grandsons' mother and nothing that he did.
The other part is also simple unless your grandson has worked and made a lot of money.
The money that YOU have saved for him is not his money. Tell them to put a diary on the case and get the money from her when she tries to get widows' benefits or benefits on her own. Call your congressman or senator and get them involved....This is unfair and Social Security should not be putting you through this....let me know if they deny your waiver.....Carol
