My mother died about 1-1/2 years ago, am I entitled to your social security, i am your only son.

Dear Robert:
You are not entitled to my social security. You cannot get your mothers social security unless you are under age 18 and still in High School or totally disabled.
That disability had to have started before you were age 22. You have to be unmarried now also. If you are in doubt, call your local office or the toll free number at 1-800-772-1213...Good Luck....Carol
