Hello: My dad s turning 64 this year. He was a physician and a business owner. He retired from his medical practice last year because he was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. He is still receiving compensation from the business that he sold. He recently applied for social security benefit and they told him that he was still making too much money. Will he ever be able to get her social security benefits?

Dear Murney: Your father must be performing substantial work for his business. Once he cannot work more than a certain number of hours a month or earn $960 a month, he should file for benefits. SS disability pays benefits to those that can't work because of their disability. He must be a tough one to keep working despite the cancer.....Carol
